Remember and Speak it Out

Micah 6:5 (MSG)  Remember ....... Remember all those stories ........ Keep all God's salvation stories fresh and present."

Stories are important. They help us remember. A good story bring life. Memories have been created, good memories need rehearsing so that the goodness of God is set free in our experience continually.

Children love stories and if we be honest we do as well, especially if we experienced stories being read to us as a child. I remember them, I also remember the radio stories but best of all I remember the night I met my Lord.

My God came to me with a gift that set me free, the gift of salvation. After 19 years of searching I found the love of my life, my saviour, how happy it made me. As I remember I experience that happiness.

Scripture also tells me to speak out what God has done, even if I have not experienced it yet. 'let the weak say I am strong, the poor say I am rich because of what the Lord has done for us.'

As I speak what I don't yet see as if it is mine now I enter the realm of faith and start creation in my own experience. As I do this the Holy Spirit within rejoices for I am giving Him room to act. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
