Be Strong in the Lord

Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength.
Put on the full armour of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the devil.
For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.
This is why you must take up the full armour of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand. Ephesians 6:11-13

I need the Lord's strength and His wisdom. Rather than fret about my decision making ability I must come to Him and petition Him for His Way.

The above verse tells me who my enemies are and they are many, they wish to destroy me.

The tactics of the devil are constant, ever present, but always the same. I cannot win in my own mind and strength, I must go to the Lord for His mind and His strength.

What is the Way? Jesus said He was the Way. I hear the Lord constantly telling me 'look at Me'. He has the plan. I must be prepared to go to Him and make a stand for what He gives to me to do, in everything.

When I have someone difficult in my life, then I must see that my battle is with the powers of my enemy and not with the person. Who is in charge? My enemy wants to divide and conqueror. His goal is to rob, steal and destroy. My God has a plan also it is that I might have life and life abundantly. Amen!

I must keep focus!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
