Established in Love
I pray that you (and I), being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge- that you (and I) may be filled to the measure of all fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19
Being established in love is first and foremost. As I am established in love I know, without a doubt 'if God be for me then who can be against me.'
When fear comes knocking I have to go back to the basics, God is for me, without Him I am undone but with Him I am made.
As I understand the love of Christ I grow in capacity to step out and take the land He has for me. As we grow in the love of our parents we grow up and begin to see our future, we are embolden to step out.
I must grow in love and stay rooted and grounded in it or I shrivel up and die.
We see images of babies in orphanages that have not experienced the touch of love, they do not grow, they are sickly yet we know a healthy baby when we see one. The whole family goos and gaas at them, pouring love upon them.
I have a beautiful little grand daughter called Eloise she is 7 months old. She has three older brothers who constantly go up to her and kiss and cuddle her and tell her she is their princess. Her mum and dad and I dote on her as well. She is a happy, contented little girl.
We are in God's house and are loves just like this. God loves us to distraction, he lives for us and He died for us.
The difficulty lies in not having a good natural family however my God's love can break through, love overcomes all obstacles.
