To God Be the Glory

You put on the new self, the one created according to God's likeness in righteousness and purity and truth.
Since you put away lying, Speak truth, each to his neighbour, because we are members of one another. Ephesians 4:24,25

I have just published a secular book as part of my business marketing but it does not touch writing about the word of God.

I have a secular blog, facebook and website and I can honestly say, 'so that is business but it is not where the life is.'

I come to the fountain daily, sometimes more often because there is no word that refreshes like this does, there are no words that challenge like these words and it is here I meet my beautiful Saviour.

I could dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Like David, I may have another role to play out there but it is here that does it for me. To worship my God and to be before Him refreshes, brings perspective.

I went to see the movie Soul Surfer last night. What an inspirational movie to see what having God in the centre can do.

My God changes focus, gives hope and life, gives direction like none other and I will sing of His mercies forever.

Living in truth about myself and others is such a blessing. My God is truth, not me. I must live in Him so that truth can be in me.

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
