You Can Make Me Clean
When He came down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him. Right away a man with a serious skin disease came up and knelt before Him, saying, "Lord if You are willing, You can make me clean." Reaching out His hand He touched him, saying, "I am willing be made clean." Matthew 8:1-3
The man was probably sitting with the crowd, on the edges listening to Jesus, seeing and hearing authority and heart. His faith would have been stirred. His thoughts would have been around getting to Jesus first, getting through a crowd of people who would shun him and tell him to go.
I am continually grateful to Jesus for His heart, His faithfulness, His godliness. Although I may not fit anywhere else I know I fit with Him, there is room there always for me. He is never too busy, too distracted to not allow me in. He does not look at shining stars first and acknowledge them he looks at those who need and want Him.
The man fell to his knees, acknowledging the deity of Christ. He heard, really heard the good news and he knew here was his answer. Jesus is the answer. Amen!
