So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "it is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. John 19:30
Completion of the task God has given is satisfying. Jesus had taken 12 disciples and trained them. He lost Judas the betrayer but none others. There were many more, who because of their fear, hid their faith. In verse 38-42 two men who belonged to the Sanhedrin came and took the body of Christ and prepared it for burial.
When I was in Wodonga in the early part if the year I knew my time to leave had come. It was so final, all I had been given to do I had done and I was pleased with the outcome. However I was unsure of where to next, my natural mind was in the way. I went looking for where it would be. After having done the research I made a decision, trusting my God to guide me.
I have returned to Tamworth NSW to complete what was unfinished. I left before I saw the Kingdom of God established here in the work I had been given to do. I must finish.
Finishing well is so satisfying. I want to hear my God say, "well done!" His pleasure is my delight, it is Him I live for.
Each of us are called with a purpose, we have a task. This task is our training for eternity. In eternity I know where I want to be, close to Him, doing great exploits, establishing His Kingdom.
No LILO sipping grape juice through a golden straw for me, ugh! The universe is there to be explored. I want to create like He creates, establish like He establishes, walk with Him, talk with Him, play the piano with Him, fellowship with Him.
What do you want to do? Are you more worried about stuff down here? Why it will all go up in a puff of smoke. You can't take what is temporal and imperfect to heaven, let it go, seek what is lasting. Try Him, He is good! Amen!
