Remain in Him

I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. As for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But His anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit- just as it has taught you, remain in Him. 1John 2:26,27

When we accept Christ all of Him comes in. The challenge is to remain in Him.

Offense is one of the tools of the enemy, he is a liar and a cheat and comes to rob and steal. He whispers lies into a heart that is insecure and causes a reaction, that reaction is usually against another, at times quite an innocent individual. When that person has the reaction spill all over them the injustice and wrongness of the spill causes them to react and a chain reaction takes place.

As a Christian I can go to Christ and allow Him to help me process instead of sitting and rehearsing what I would like to say. Yes this in itself can be a challenge because we want to go on the attack, everything within us is busting for a fight.

Yet here is an opportunity to find Christ and allow grace to flow.

I have been given all of Christ when I asked Him into my life so I cannot say, 'I did not know how to behave' and excuse myself. As a Christian I have one place only to go and that is Him. He is grace and forgiveness, I am not. He is the power I am not, He is the answer I am not.

I must remain in Him, there alone I am safe, outside of Him I am in trouble.

My grandchildren and I are preparing a play about Jonah and the whale. While Jonah walked in obedience, inside Him, he was safe; when he ran from Him in disobedience he was in trouble.

What do I want? Trouble or answers? I have a choice. Amen!
