The Poor
Whoever closes his ear to the cry of the poor will himself call out and not be answered. Proverbs 21:13
We often are asked, in the media, to give to some nation going through devastation, famine, war, calamity and at times those who do give will feel harassed beyond measure.
What is right to do? Jesus, himself, said you will always have the poor with you. This does not mean I wipe all knowledge of them from my mind but it also means I have to allow Him to lead my heart.
A man I know has laid down his life for his family, he is the only worker and he is now ill. Even though he is ill he continues to work thinking nothing of his own life. To me he is a good loving man yet he sees himself as the only provider.
I can relate to this, to a point. My God is my provider and keeper. If I allow Him to direct my paths then I will put my trust in Him, for He holds all things together not me.
Yes I must have heart but I must put my faith and trust in Him first.amen!
