Amazing Grace

An oracle within my heart concerning the transgression of the wicked person: there is no dread of God before his eyes, for in his own eyes he flatters himself too much to discover and hate his sin. Psalm 36:1,2

You could say there is no hope for such a person but these are the very people that my God reaches out to with the offer of salvation.

Yesterday I had afternoon tea with a woman who had sunk into the addiction of gambling in a big way, she was far from God, she was destroying her family but God reached out and saves her from her sins and now she preaches the gospel.

The writer of 'Amazing Grace' , John Newton, was a wicked slave trader. I know countless stories about God's mercy and grace. He is good and loves the unlovely.

You may be a sinner and think that He would not bother with you, He will. In fact he has someone like me praying for you that you might find His grace and know that 'though your sins be as scarlet they will be white as snow' as you invite Him in.

My God loves what we do not love, He sees what you can be by His grace. Turn to Him and ask for grace and you will find it. God is good! Amen!
