Flourishing

The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the courts of our God.
They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green, to declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock and there is no unrighteousness in Him. Psalm 92:12-15

Well now! I am not afraid to be called a sap, this means I am staying young and full of life.

Mind you today I am glad to see my bed. My grandchildren sure know how to keep me busy. Today we went swimming. I Haven't swum underwater like I did today, for quite a while. Chloe had me doing hand-stands, tumbles, racing up and down the pool. After lunch we went to the movies, then shopping and then I was ready for bed, at 5pm. No such luck, off for a walk, prepare dinner, play games and now it is my time and although I have bought a new book to read, bed sounds very good.

Yet my God is going before me. No longer am I slow on the uptake, I am no fool and am happy to hold my own. No push-over, any more. Yes!

He is going before me establishing me, making room for me.

I am declaring that the Lord is upright. His ways are true. He is good!

I place my hope in Him. He is my delight! He is my all. Amen!
