Helmet of Salvation

Take the helmet if salvation. Ephesians 6:17

Isn't it interesting that salvation is defined as a helmet. Where do we have all our problems? Yup! The mind!

Romans 12:2 tells us to 'be transformed by the renewing if our minds.'

Salvation then is a process.

Just as we begin school as a child and learn to read, write and count so do we need to go to the school of the spirit and learn to think like a 'child of God.'

A child of God thinks differently to other folk. A child of God has a heavenly goal and home. A child of God has a Heavenly Father. Our approval is not earned but given as we step into it by faith in what Jesus did on the cross.

A child of God has a big brother who fought sickness, disease, poverty, rejection for us. Our battle happens in our mind. What will I believe about Jesus and His finished work, what will I say is mine.
