In every situation, take the shield of faith, and with it you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Ephesians 6:16
In every situation! Mmm! I guess we tend to only bring it out when things go bad. Perhaps it is like wearing clothes. We put clothes on all the time even when it is hot because we know we need them.
Why do we do that? We have been trained to do so. Therefore, we can safely say our God is training us to clothe ourselves daily in faith.
Paul goes on to explain why it is good to have faith as a part of our armoury, because we will be ready when attacked.
Now we need to differentiate between feeling strong in faith and faith that we wear daily. Faith is not a feeling, neither are my clothes but I need both, daily. Amen!
