In the fifteenth year o the reign of Tiberius Caesar, while Pontus Pilate was governor of Judea, Herod was tetrarch of Galilee, his brother tetrarch of of the region of Iturea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch if Abilene, during the high priesthood of Anna's and Capiahas, Gid's word came to John the son of Zechariah in the wilderness. Luke 3:1,2
Why did I put all that scripture with names you may never have heard about or care to hear about?
You and I need to know that in amidst all the pomp and earthly glory of man there was a man of God waiting to be sent.
That man, John the Baptist was in the wilderness waiting, preparing.
How long have you been waiting? Preparing to be sent?
The world and its pomp and glory can shout you down at times. Did God say? You're a fool! God won't use you, he lied to you!
Do you recognise that voice? Yes it is him! The enemy of our soul. Hateful destroyer, liar and cheat!
If you are waiting for God's timing be the best at what you can be in the wilderness. Learn all you can, spend time with Him, love all you can, share all you can.
Then the word of The Lord came to John and he went through all the vicinity of the Jordan preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness if sins..
God had a plan and He still does! Trust Him! Amen!
