Walk in the Light

Walk as children if the light- for the fruit of the light results in all goodness, righteousness and truth- discerning what is pleasing to The Lord. Ephesians 4:9,10

Again I remember a song, a childish song:
'Little children let us not love with word or with tongue but in deed and in truth...'

I see so many talking heads but no action. Perhaps our societies think talk is everything when it is nothing if not back with action.

Yesterday I had to call in a word given by a friend. His word was not just talk but he was prompt to act, I really appreciated that.

If I say to a client I will do something then I must, promptly, or tell them up front of the reason for a delay.

If I say to The Lord: 'I will do such and such', then I better fulfill my vow.

God honors His word above His name and I must do the same.

When The Lord honors His word then I can trust Him, the same for friends and family. I must be able to trust, trust gives security.

The Lord is good and all light. As His children we must be all light and walk in integrity.
