When Jesus returned, the crowd were all expecting Him and they welcomed Him.
Just then analyst named Jairus came, He was a leader of the synagogue. He fell down at Jesus' feet and pleaded with Him to come to his house, because he had an only daughter about 12 years old, and she was at death's door. Luke 8:40-42
Two things I notice in this scripture:
1) the crowd were expecting Him and welcomed Him
2) Jairus, the leader of the synagogue humbled himself before Christ.
When people are expecting miracles they happen. The crowd of people came expecting something and they were not disappointed.
Jairus came, knowing all that Jesus was doing and lay aside all prejudice and opinions about who should be the Christ, where He should have come from an how He should behave.
Kneeling at Jesus' feet shows total surrender. Perhaps he had heard about Jesus raising the widows son from the dead, the son was an only son and he faced losing an only daughter.
When we come in expectation and surrender we find what we are looking for. We only need to believe and accept and He runs towards us.
Lay it all down and ask Him into your world, He will hear and move mightily on your behalf. Amen!
Simple words from a broken heart, "Jesus come".
