Everyone Matters

While traveling to Jerusalem, He passed between Samaria and Galilee. As He entered a village, 10 men with serious skin diseases met Him. They stood at a distance and raised their voices, saying, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"
When He saw them, He told them, "go and show yourselves to the priests." And while sheet were going they were healed. Luke 17:13,14

Jesus went to an out of the way place for 10 lepers. This makes me mindful that the small and insignificant are important to Him.

Tomorrow is the launching of my project called The Longest Yarn. Tony Windsor, our local federal minister, is officiating for me. My great vision has been reduced down to a humble beginning in my church school Liberty College.

I am starting with a few. The project links old people with children through story telling. Everybody has a story worth hearing. Even old people close to death have stories worth hearing. They are significant to Christ, they are important to me and I love them.

I have applied for grants and thus far been knocked back. Yet I know that my community needs to open their ears to hear, show honor and pass on the heritage that is ours.

Salvation is for everyone! Everyone needs to know the gospel. Amen!

As I sat thinking of this humble beginning my Lord reminded me as to where He was born. His beginning did not matter because His end was triumphant! Amen!
