"I came to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already set ablaze! But I have a baptism to be baptised with, and how it consumes Me until it is finished!" Luke 12:49,50
My bible exposition says this fire was a fire of judgement but I believe Jesus had the fire of the Holy Spirit that had to be first poured our on the earth.
As the Holy Spirit was poured out in tongues of fire the proceeding verses came to pass. Families were divided in their beliefs. All over the world the people who break with their cultural beliefs and choose Christ are cut off from their families.
The Holy Spirit is ready to do mighty things in the earth and seeks willing vessels to take the fire.
Lethargy and blindness in the church will not do! Arise oh sleeper arise! Amen!
