I Can See!

As He drew near to Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the road begging. Hearing a crowd passing by, he inquired what this meant.
"Jesus the Nazarene is passing by," they told him.
So he called out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Then those in front told him to keep quiet, but he kept crying out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to Him. When he drew near, He asked him, What do you want me to do for you?"
"Lord," he said, "I want to see!"
"Receive your sight!" Jesus told him. "Your faith has healed you." Instantly he could see, and he began to follow Him, glorifying God. All the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God. Like 18:35-43

I love this story!

The crowd called Jesus the Nazarene, a nobody from a little town in Nazareth but the man called Him Messiah. He had a revelation about who Jesus really was.

The crowd didn't like his determination to have Jesus meet with him. They were trying to silence his faith by their unbelief. They did not want anyone to rock the boat.

Yet true faith cannot be stopped and Jesus went to him.

Jesus asked an obvious question: " what do you want me to do for you?" This is a part of the faith journey. The man responded with a direct answer. "That I might receive my sight!"

A miracle was given to the astonishment of the crowd.

The man then went on to follow Jesus.

If Jesus meets with you would you follow Him? I would and did!

Following required co-habiting with Christ this man was dedicated, he wanted all the Christ had to offer.

Accepting Christ requires dedication, are you ready? Are you able?

Faith sustained this man, faith will sustain you! Amen!
