Love of Money

The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things and scoffing at Him. And He told them: "You are the ones who justify yourselves in the sight of others, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly admired by people is revolting in God's sight. Luke 16:14,15

As I walk down the street I can almost feel the pride in hearts as men drive by in their spoiled cars and women walk by in their refined outfits and jewlery.

Pride was very evident in the Pharisee's hearts and they strutted their stuff. The only things all the stuff and the pride will do is keep you from the truth and salvation.

If I want to have money and/or stuff so that I can be proud then I am wasting my time.

Pride hates the truth and it is the truth that sets us free.

I much rather walk with the Lord and let Him unfold things in His time. I know that His gifts do not rust and are not eaten up by moths.

Each day wasting time plotting on how to get, or self or pride in ownership is a fearful waste of time. I can hear Jesus say:"Fool! this very day you souls is required of you."
