Obedience

Which one of you having a slave tending sheep or plowing will say to him when he comes in from the field, 'come at once and sit down to eat?' Instead will he not tell him, 'prepare something for me to eat and serve me while I eat and drink; later you can eat and drink'? Does he thank the slave because he did what was commanded? In the same way, when you have done all that you were commanded, you should say, " we are good-for-nothing slaves; we've only done our duty." Luke 17:7-10

Rankle, rankle! How dare He! Well He did and He is God!

Jesus was saying 'if we only do what was required, nothing more, why do we want a pat on the back?'

Obedience is the minimum requirement, it is not a 'if you have time' request.

Jesus obey the Father and did what was required and more and received a commendation, " this is my beloved Son in Him I am we'll pleased!"

Therefore, "we'll done!" Is not just for doing the barest minimum.

We have all been to school and know what these statements mean.

Come on let's rise and shine! Amen!
