Pray Without Ceasing

Then The Lord said, "listen to what the unrighteousness judge says, will not God grant justice to His elect who cry out to Him day and night? He will swiftly grant them justice. Nevertheless when the Son of Man comes, will He find that faith on earth? Luke 18:6-8

These verses are referring to the previous 5 verses where Jesus told a story about an unrighteousness judge acquiescing to the cries for justice from a persistent little woman. I am such a woman.

The last verse above indicates that when Jesus returns faith will be leached from the earth. How does that happen? Adversity? Disillusionment? Offense? Laziness? Ignorance?

Claiming what is ours in Christ requires taking territory. If our enemy has held our territory for some time then he will not easily yield it. The fight for what is ours defines our faith. Will I believe the word if God? Will I follow Jesus and make him Lord? What will Christianity look like in my world?

Life for Christ was not a push over yet we can as Christians expect an easy ride. We have to fight for our faith, for our families, our friends. The promises to us are there but we have to take them and believe them.

Our fight is against unbelief, laziness, the lies of our enemy who would have us believe there is no power in the cross. Remember he is a liar, thief and cheat.

Petrol has a purpose, it is fuel for cars, fires etc it is not meant to sit in storage, idle. The world is crying our for more.

Likewise the Christian is a light. A world in darkness is crying out for a light to show the way. Torches are not meant to sit idle in storage either, they are needed to show the way.

Shake off the enemies slime that cover mind and soul, throw off his suffocating lies and stand strong in who you are. You have all you need in Christ, plug in and shine. Amen!
