There is nothing covered that wont be uncovered, nothing hidden that wont be made known. Therefore, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in an ear in private rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops. Luke 12:2,3
Ever whispered a secret, with a 'don't tell anyone' message? I think we all have.
Today as I was walking my dogs I realised that the morning I has said something to a friend about how things will be in a certain area and I realised that my words became a reality throughout today. Words are creative and powerful. Words take form and are no longer safely tucked away inside our heads. Anything that lives is seen.
Spoken words change our behavior towards either the person we talked about or the circumstances. If it is a person our behavior tell them things are different between us, thus our words are revealed.
Words cannot remain hidden as they carry creative power. If we have spoken rashly or spoken ill about another unfairly we have sent forth evil towards that person.
How do we stop the arrows? Repentance helps and so does confession of sin to the one we have maimed.
Our words will judge us! Be careful then how you speak! Amen!
