Now, salt is good, but if salt should lose its taste,how will it be made salty? Luke 14:34
We as Christians are referred to the salt of the world. therefore if we lose our flavour we become ineffective. However, we have something that natural salt does not have, repentance.
As I turn, again, back to The Lord, He welcomes me, repentance is beautiful in that it never fails to restore.
Jesus wants us salty and just as we need a shower daily we can bathe in His presence and be restored.
I am so grateful that my Lord is loving, forgiving and ever willing to wash me clean by the word. He is perfect and because of that He is an ever willing Saviour. Amen!
Being the salt of the world can be as simple as a thoughtful smile, a refusal to react in kind to another, an act of generosity or forgiveness is another's sin towards us. Most importantly it is sharing Christ in any and every circumstance.
What is that? Preaching you say? Christ lived and treated others with love and forgiveness, try that!
