The One

But one of them (10 lepers), seeing he was healed, returned and, with a loud voice, gave glory to God. He fell face down at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan.
Then Jesus said, "Were not 10 cleansed? Where are the nine? Didn't any return to give glory to God except this foreigner? And he told him, "get up and go on your way. Your faith has made you well." Luke 17:15-19

It seems that those with the greatest faith were the Samaritans and Romans. Perhaps that was because they were not religiously indoctrinated and when they saw the truth received it with joy.

I praise God that the heathen and know sinners were the first to respond. The soil in their hearts was uncluttered by unbelief and a religious expectation as to how things should happen.

I can relate to the guy who returned to thank Jesus. I thank a lot, especially when I see God do something. I don't take it for granted. How about you?

Today I had two people book in for DivorceCare. One was a man's man. I explained the biblical content and encouraged him to try out the course, he agreed. The next was a deaf lady. Now there is a first. She offered to bring her signing companion, I gratefully accepted. I would like to heal more than her heart.

Tonight the team that are coming for tomorrow's launch of The Longest Yarn are getting excited. This is another opportunity to meet people, perhaps win their hearts. Love it!

My God goes before me! Amen!
