Being One

Accept anyone who is weak in faith, but don't argue about doubtful issues.
Who are you to criticise another's household slave? Before his own
Lord he stands or falls. And he will stand. For The Lord is able to make him stand.
If we live, we live for The Lord. Christ died and came to life for this: that He might rule over the dead and the living.
But you, why do you criticize your brother? Or you, why do you look down on your brother? For we all stand before the tribunal of God. Romans 14:1, 4,8-10

If I have the mind if Christ then I do not want to criticize because Christ never did. If I have the mind of Christ I will not entertain gossip.

There are plenty of nasty spirits floating around wanting someone to express their opinion, why be their puppet?

Why not walk in the spirit and put to death the works of the flesh?

If I am grafted into the vine then the blood if the vine courses through me, I am one with the vine. I become like the vine by accepting its flow. As I submit to my Lord I am one with Him. His thoughts are my thoughts, His desires are my desires.

Other Christians are likewise grafted into the vine. I am not the vine dresser, so what good is an opinion when it is not my role? I am being a busy body and should mind my own business.

It is much smarter to let the Captain be the Captain and get on with being the servant or the gunner or lookout. We only need one Captain. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
