God Being God!

What should we say then? Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained righteousness- namely the righteousness that comes from faith. But Israel, pursuing the law for righteousness , has not achieved the righteousness of the law. Why is that? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone. Romans 9:30-32

I have struggled with most of this chapter, chapter 9, until, the above verses.

The chapter, basically says, God is God, It is His show and He can have mercy on whomever He wants. But, because this is not the God I know I needed more.

Yes, on the face of it, it appears, that God is doing His own thing, in arrogance. However, we need to look underneath the covers. He sees what we do not see, He hears what we do not hear.

If we, think that we can fool God, even if we can fool our friends and family, then we fool ourselves.

Do I refuse to come to God in faith? Do I expect Him to be satisfied with a diet of: me, myself and mine? Why how good am I?

Do we expect, as the created, to tell God how things should run? Ha! Think again! He is God after all!
