Have Integrity!

Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on elemental forces of the world, and not based on Christ. For the entire fullness of God's nature dwells bodily in Christ, and you have been filled with Him, who is the head over every ruler and authority. Colossians 2:8-10

There are a lot of emotional Christians out there who do not study the word of God for themselves but rely on the opinion of others, they may read books other than the bible and watch movies and allow their opinions to be shaped by these influences but not Christ or His word.

Guys read your bibles and discover Christ in the scriptures. Don't take the scripture out of context, seek the truth.

Don't lazily listen to this person and that, who happen to have bold opinions, and not to Christ Himself, and lastly do what Christ tells you to do, in scripture.

As I conduct DivorceCare I discover many Christians who have re-written the bible to say it is ok to live with their boyfriend or girlfriend and not marry. Get married and show your families your integrity.

Integrity empowers the testimony of Christ in your life. The unchurched live like this, you are called to be holy, act like it!

Don't trade the immortal God for your emotions, He lives in you, the entire fullness of God's nature lives in you, show it!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
