Let's Shine!

You were also circumcised in Him with a circumcision not done with hands, by putting off the body of flesh, in the circumcision of the Messiah. Having been buried with Him in baptism, you were also raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. Colossians 2: 11,12

Circumcision is permanent and painful. How can I live as if it has not happened. Any male circumcised as an adult would be able to tell you the pain, and the cost.

When we accept Christ we are circumcised in the heart, there is a C tattoo on the wall of our heart. We are forever His. Just because you cannot see it you cannot deny it! It is there and forever calling you to consecration!

I can imagine that this may have been a motivating factor by those of the early Christians who were called 'the circumcision party', those with non-religious intent that is. Having experienced pain in our lives we are forever marked.

Likewise having experienced Christ we are forever marked by Him. His love compels us to belong to Him, be wedded to Him, be faithful to Him.

If you are married your marriage vows compel you to remain faithful to your spouse. If you, as a Christian are sleeping around with other men or women, you disgrace your  vows and your Christianity, if you belong to Christ then you need to be faithful to all of Him, not just in name only.

A married person is married until divorced, even though separated. If you have become separated from Christ, you still belong to Him. Separated people are still linked and should therefore remain faithful to their vows.

Let's shine! Be who you say you are in word and deed! Amen!
