Silence

When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half and hour. Then I saw seven angels who stand in the presence of God; seven trumpets were given to them, another angel, with a gold incense burner, came and stood at the altar. He was given a large amount of incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the gold altar in front of the throne. The smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up in the presence of God from the Angela's hand. The angel took the incense burner, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it to the earth; there were rumblings of thunder, flashes of lightening, and an earthquake. And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to blow them. Revelation 8:1-6

Have you ever experienced something that left you gob-smacked! You are in awe, speechless. A movie can do it, watching an awesome act of grace can do it. Now, what does it is the vindication of our God. The time has come, our God rises up in our defence and honours our prayers.

Our prayers count! The times that have been hard and we have pressed into God for grace to endure; the times we have been abused, unfairly treated and we went to God; the times we were in lack and instead of complaining went to God; the times of infirmity when we went to God and insisted on His hand; the times we worshipped in our pain; the times of grievous tears mingled with agonising prayer are all there on the altar mixed with incense before our God.

Then He shows His response. The coals and collected from the altar in the incense burner and hurled onto the earth. Our prayers be one a part of God's judgement, justice has come.

This is an awesome display of our God's respect for our prayers! Thank You Lord! Amen!
