A Force to be Reckoned With

Listen, our God, for we are despised. Make their insults return on their own heads and let the be taken as plunder to a land of captivity. Do not cover their guilt or let their sin be erased from Your sight, because they have provoked the builders.
So we rebuilt the wall until the entire wall was joined together up to half it's height, for the people had the will to keep working.
When Sanballat, Tobiah, and the Arabs, Ammonites, and Ashdodites heard that the repair to the walls of Jerusalem was progressing and that the gaps were being closed, they became furious. They all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and throw it into confusion. So we prayed to our God and stationed a guard because of them day and night. Nehemiah 4:4-9

The enemies were quite exercised because the wall was being rebuilt. Now why, if it indeed was a poor job, like the enemies said, were they becoming furious?

The enemies could see that the people had risen in one accord to rebuild and restore that which had been destroyed. They were of one mind. This was empowering them. They would begin to believe they were God's chosen people again and start to do great exploits.

Our enemies want to keep us from our destiny. They will do anything to stop us because as we step into our inheritance we become a force to be reckoned with. As we see ourselves as kings and queens in the kingdom of God we start to see what is truly ours, great things are ours. Amen!

Fight the fight! Break through with weapons given you and spoil the tents of your enemy's camp. Amen!
