Jesus Circumcised

When the eight days were completed for His circumcision, He was named Jesus- the name given by the angel before He was conceived. And when the days of their purification, according to the Law of Moses, were finished, they brought Him up to Jerusalem to present Him to The Lord ( just as it is written in the law of The Lord: 'every firstborn male will be dedicated to The Lord) and to offer a sacrifice (according to what is stated in the law of The Lord: a pair of turtle doves or two young pigeons). Luke 2:21-24

Even the One who had come as God was circumcised according to the law. Jesus Himself said: "I have come not to do away with the law but to fulfil the law".Matthew 5:17

The law was created because of sin, primarily. As Jesus had no sin He was able to complete the just requirement of the law for all men for all time.

I can now come to God, in faith, and trust that all my sin is covered and that He is satisfied with His Son's ultimate sacrifice, by dying on a cross. I am free to walk into a relationship with my Heavenly Father through Christ. All that was meant to be, back before sin, can now become mine as I walk in faith with my God.

He is my link, my doorway, my purity, my right. He is my Saviour and I rejoice in Him for He is so good. I am blessed because of Him.

I am grateful for Mary for saying "yes use me." I am grateful for Joseph for choosing, in faith, that Mary was indeed the mother of the Messiah and not divorcing her.

I am so grateful to Jesus for coming, laying down His heavenly position for me and to the Father for sending Him and the Holy Spirit for ministering through Him. Thank You Lord God Almighty! Amen!
