Strategy

In Judah, it was said:
The strength of the labourer fails,
Since there is so much rubble.
We will never be able to rebuild the walls.

And our enemies said "they won't know or see anything until we're among them and can kill them and stop the work.

When the Jews that lived nearby arrived, they said to us time and again, " everywhere you turn, they attack us".

So I stationed people behind the lowest sections of the wall, at the vine table sections of the wall. I stationed them by families with their swords, spears, and bows.

After I made an inspection, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people, "Don't be afraid of them. Remember the great and awe-inspiring Lord, and fight for your countrymen, your sons and daughters, your wives and homes." Nehemiah 4:10-14

Discouragement was everywhere! Within the team, the enemy's taunts and threats, the neighbours without.

Nehemiah did not fold. He encouraged and strategised.

As a leader we must encourage and strategise.

The city was full or rubble, the builders were using burnt stones, they had no time to make new material. Sometimes this is what we must use because it is fitting to use burnt stones to rebuild. I am doing this.

I have returned to my home town and am having to rebuild that which has been torn down and burnt. The enemy has come in like a flood and I have despaired at times but as I have chosen to strengthen myself in The Lord, I rise and break through.

Those that I have with me need me to be strong and have direction.

Our God never fails and we will not as long as we watch Him and keep going.

Nehemiah stationed the worker with sword and trowel. There are times when we must also carry a sword against our enemy and a mind to work. Amen!

My supply had been cut off and I have had to pray for a way. God came through with two answers this week. He knows the way and our enemies will fail. Amen
