Be Alert!

"Now concerning that day or hour, no one knows- neither the angels in heaven nor The Son- except the Father. Watch! Be alert! For you don't know when the time is coming. It is like a man on a journey, who left his house, gave authority to his slaves gave each one his work, and commanded
the doorkeeper to be alert. Therefore be alert, since you don't know when the master of the house is coming- whether in the evening or at midnight or at the crowing of the rooster or early in the morning. Otherwise, He might come suddenly and find you sleeping. And what I say to you, I say to everyone: Be alert!" Mark 13:22-27

We are also told to be alert for another reason: 'your enemy the devil roams around seeking someone to destroy.

Staying true to the course is so vital. The Lord is returning and coming to take His to Himself and in the meantime we have an enemy that prowls around seeking to destroy those who the Father is calling to Himself.

Last week, a man whom I had shared Christ with, committed suicide. The enemy of his souls convinced him he was worthless and better dead. This leaves me glad I did tell him but sad I did not recognise the severity of his plight. The man was depressed.

I received a phone call from the man's brother-in -law. My client had told his family that I was a nice lady. I don't care for that label I would rather have been the messenger of hope. I had been praying for the man and his salvation but do not know the details of where he stood in his final moments, one day I will.

Eternity is forever. The decisions we make now determines where we will spend it: in fire and misery or in peace with God.

While on holidays I watched a movie with my daughter's children, I cannot remember the title, but it involved a Demi-god called Percy. This young man had to take a lightening bolt to Hades and collect pearls along his journey as a release price. The master of the domain appeared like a normal man, until he was angered and then he turned into an evil monster. Sounds like Satan! At one point there were all the tormented souls screaming and reaching out to drag Percy and his friends into hell. It so depicted what he'll is like, it was shocking. The torment that awaits those who reject Christ is horrible. The torment does not last for a short time but forever.

Hell is not fictitious! It is real and not just a movie or a story. Those who fall asleep are in jeopardy of such a fate. Those who never accept truth are heading for this fate.

I have those in my world who reject Christ and right now are experiencing hell on earth. It is nothing compared to what awaits them, and so I pray.

Christian stay alert and pray! Be the light, the salt! Keep close to Christ, never let Him go! He is coming soon! Amen!
