Devoted Lover

The Lord was devoted to you and chose you, not because you were more numerous than all peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But because The Lord loved you and kept the oath He swore to your fathers, He brought you out with a strong hand and redeemed you from the place of slavery. Deut 7:7,8

Love this scripture!

God does not judge like we do. He looks deep within. He saw us being formed and loved us. He delights in all the new beginnings.

My feelings of inadequacy does not count as truth, they are just feelings, probably resulting from wrong thinking.

This morning at Rotary I was able to share my life with about 50 members. When I had finished a talk I called: But What if I Can? I was asked: 'what are you passionate about now? ' I replied: "The Lord, and people. I love people more than things, they are more precious that gold or precious stones because they are more important."

My God would agree for He gave up His only Son to die cruelly in our place. I would say that makes us special. When I mentioned my love for The Lord, the place went quiet, He was there! My prayer was that He would touch hearts and minds and I believe He did. Amen!

Now they have something they never had before, a God encounter! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
