Faithful to His Word

For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son so that whoever believed in Him would have eternal life. John 3:16

Throughout the Old Testament we see verses that tell us our God is full of 'loving kindness, faithfulness and mercy.'

The evidence of this is He did what He promised to do: send His Son to redeem the world.

The greatest evidence anyone can show is to faithfully do what they said they would do, in other words, be faithful to their word.

Scripture tells us that God honors His word above His name. This is important! We need to know that the God we worship and the God we serve is trustworthy. He does what He says He will do. Amen!

This past week I have stayed with a woman I met by placing an ad in a paper, looking for accommodation. I began to sense God was at work. Last night we talked for several hours. She told me when she was small she went to Sunday school and then grew up an went away from her faith. She is unhappy and wants to come back to church, guess who is taking a lost soul home tomorrow? I love this! Our God is faithfully seeking out the lost to bring them home.

I must be faithful to what I am. I am a harvester, a light, salt to a lost and dying world.

This is what I am here for! My business is secondary. I am here to make a difference to people's lives. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
