Presence Overcomes Doubt
The 11 disciples travelled to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus directed them. When they saw Him, they worshipped, but some doubted. Then Jesus came near and said to them, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And, remember, I am with you always! to the end of the age!" Matthew 28:16-20
We see here that there was more than Thomas who doubted. What made them doubt? Perhaps things did not go according to their script? Perhaps their grief was in the way?
Yet Jesus came near and commissioned them to go in His name. He did not try and persuade them with words, He came near, then He gave them a commission.
Personally, when God turns up the questions cease!
Job had questions but when God showed up the questions were not important, He was.
Presence beats information every time. God's presence speaks peace, contentment, ability. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. When I have Him, I am able. Amen!
