The Harvest
"I assure you: the one who believes in Me will also do the works that I do. And he will do even greater works than these, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it." John 14:12,13
This scripture poses a question to me: why are you not doing greater works than Jesus? I would have to reply, according to the scripture, "I must not believe in Jesus to that level."
I awoke yesterday morning at my aunts home praying for more boldness, clarity and anointing. I want to harvest souls. I want more than just telling good news I want souls. I then prayed for an opportunity to share again and it did not happen. I am going back next week and pray for an open door.
The problem is us folks, actually it is between our ears, our believing.
What can I do to increase my believing, my faith? Seek Him! Now seeking Him means leaving all other worldly pleasures so that I can find him. If I was on a quest for gold or diamonds or pearls I would sell up my present life and go out on my quest. Jesus told a story about a man who uncovered a pearl of great price and sold all he had to buy it. This is where we are at!
I want the pearl of great price, I want my harvest of souls more than my leisure, possessions or 'happiness'. I will be happiest in heaven anyway and so happy to see souls I had won there with me.
I must commit my life to this quest, this passion. Amen!
