God's Promise
But you be fruitful and multiply; spread out over he earth and multiply on it."
I confirm My. Covenant with you that never again will every creature be wiped out by the waters of a flood; there will never again be a flood to destroy the earth."
And God said, " This is the sign of the covenant I am making between Me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all future generations: I have placed my bow in the clouds, and it will be a sign of the covenant between Me and he earth. Whenever I form clouds over the earth and the bow appears in the. Lords, I will remember My covenant between Me and you and all living creatures: water will never again become a flood to destroy every creature." Genesis 9:1-4; 7-11; 12-15
God not only confirms Noah and his sons as rulers over the earth, He makes a statement about eating meat, without blood in it, in other words the blood was to be drained out of the animal.
The next thing God does is to promise hat He will never again destroy the earth and it's inhabitants by flood, and as if to remind Himself ahe gives a sign for all time, the rainbow, a sign that says to us and God, no more floods.
With God certain things are retained and others cast off. When God sent Jesus, Hew as forever the price paid for our sins, never to be revoked. It seems the things that are cast off are the harsh things, the judgement things.
If we have a God who does not change and who gave his best! then I think we are truly blessed. My God has been, and still is consistent with me. He does not change Hjs mind about my salvation; He does not changs His mind about who He says I am; He does not change His mind about scripture.
Therefore I am blessed and highly favoured of The Lord.
Today I went to Woolies in my lunch break and as I returned to my car my thoughts were on The Lord, I said to Him:
I am like a note held in the crease of Your hand, I am tightly held and therefore I smell of You, I have You on me. Ooh!
As I thought about this my spirit began to praise, how elevated am I, how loved am I, I have a new name, He has given me a new robe and I choose a garment of praise. He goes before me, He has plans to bless me, He has plans to lift me up.
The more I praised the better I felt! A good antidote for a low demeanour.
I am blessed and highly favoured by The Lord!!! YES!
