Time For a Dream to Develop
When a Joseph came to his brothers, ey stripped of his robe, the robe of many colours that he had on. Then they took him and threw him into the pit. The pit was empty and there was no water in it.
When Midianite traders passed by, his brothers pulled Joseph out of the pit and sold him for 20 pieces of silver to the Ishmaelites, who took Joseph to Egypt.
Now Joseph had been taken to Egypt. An Egyptian named Potiphar, an officer of Pharoah and the captain of the guard, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had brought him there.
Genesis 37:23,24;28; Genesis 39:1
Just because you are brothers or sisters does not mean you will get along and at you can deal with your issues. Joseph's brothers hated him and were envious of his place in his father's heart.
Reuben tried to preserve Joseph but when his back was turned the others decided not to kill him but free themselves from him by selling him and lying to their father.
Joseph ends up where he needs to be, in Egypt he went through a tough time but because God was moulding him and preparing him he was in the right place with the right answers! at the right time. This caused him to be elevated and his family to indeed bow down before him, willingly and not with hatred in their hearts.
Joseph may well have wondered if he had dreamed right, if God had let him down, if he was a fool for his dream. Time would tell, a lot of time. Patience and trust would be required. Amen!
