Slaying Giants
When the Caananite king of Arad, who lived in the Negrev heard that Israel was coming on the Atharum road, he fought against Israel and captured some prisoners. Then Israel made a vow to The Lord, "If You will deliver the people into our hands, we will completely destroy their cities." The Lord listened to Israel's request, the Caananites were defeated, and Israel completely destroyed them and their cities. So they named the place Hormah. Numbers 21:1-3
What victory are you wanting? What price are you willing to pay? Are you willing to completely destroy strongholds and never allow life there again? I am talking about spiritual strongholds where the enemy of our souls has set up camp.
We can be as spiritual sounding as we like, we can really worship until the dew of heaven falls, but we need to change something if we want a different result.
The areas in our lives where we indulge ourselves: appetites; laziness; attitudes; opinions; secret sins, these all have to be dealt with for victory to come.
Jesus lay down His heavenly rights, His Godly authority and died at the hands of sinful man to set us free. How dare we spit in His face and say: not worthy!"
To get to the victory we want we may need to deal with something in the way of our progress. He has given us the power all we need is the will to obey. Amen!
