He Loves Me

What then are we to say about these things?
If God be for us, who can be against us?
He did not even spare His own Son but offered Him up for us all; how will He not also with Him grant us everything?
Romans 8: 31, 32

'These things', mentioned in verse 1 are all the things said about us in verses: 29,30
We are called and predestined, justified and glorified.

The upshot of it all is: 'if God be for us, who can be against us?'

The most powerful being in all the universe likes us. If we are favoured and liked by the great man then no one else matters.

Today I stepped out to walk the walk I am called to walk, against popular opinion. I told my staff I am working my way back to full-time starting now. On Friday I am traveling to Scone for an appointment. Why? Because it needs doing and because I can. Two staff objected, one straddled the fence and one, a girl just like me said: ' I have a problem with being told what to do so I won't tell you what to do.' Now I like that attitude, she is my kind of girl, she will go a long way.

I am going, because I will be doing something I love with people I love. I will have a driver and I can rest. Yes! I may grow to like this!

This afternoon I had visitors. I find sitting making polite conversation draining. I would rather be in a hammock,  asleep, especially when work help distract me from pain and tiredness. Not that I don't appreciate the love, I do, but right now chit chat is hard.

I was blessed with two lots of flowers, chocolates, a lovely lamb casserole, mmm! I am truly blessed.
Tomorrow I will break up my day and rest in the afternoon, siesta.

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
