Family Troubles
Then He went home and the crowd gathered again, so that they could not even eat. And when His family heard it, they went out to seize Him, for they were saying, "He is out of His mind." Mark 3:20,21
Jesus was having crowd control problems, Pharisee problems and now family problems. No one believed in Him and His calling, except His disciples and His mother perhaps. The crowd wanted their needs met, the Pharisee's wanted to retain their power and the family wanted to retain their dignity.
We can cause problems when we step out in faith to believe God and act according to His calling. What will we do? Back down, move on, shut down our light?
Jesus had to stand firm in His convictions and do what He was destined to do. Many people throughout history have stood against a tide of opposition for their beliefs, many have died for them.
Standing against the tide of unbelief can be wearying but with God's strength all is possible. He is God, He made us and He will strengthen us and provide for us. Amen!
