Daniel and Gabriel

While I, Daniel, was watching the vision and trying to unerstand it, there stood before me someone who appeared to be a man. I heard a human voice calling from the middle of the Ulai: " Gabriel, explain the vision to this man."
So he approached where I was standing; when he came near, I was terrified and fell face down. "Son of man, " he said to me, "understand that the vision refers to the time of the end." Daniel 8:15-17

This is surprising as the description of the  events in this vision took place between the sixth and second century bc and do not appear to be end time events. This chapter refers to Antonichus as the little horn of chapter 8 but also have recognised that he typifies the coming end-time antichrist. Therefore there is a double-fulfilment of this vision.

We all know that scripture has many meanings and our job is to respond to him and allow him to be God. Amen!

Even in the midst of trial and testing we can have a great time with our God as we give Him room to be Himself. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
