When Will the End Come?

While He was sitting on the Nount of Olives across from the temple complex, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked Him privately, "Twkl us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign when all these things are about to take place?"

Then Jesus began by telling them: "Watch out that no one deceives you. Many will come in My name, saying, I am He, and they will deceive many.

When you hear of wars and rumours of wars, don't be alarmed, these things must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of the birth pains. But you, be on your guard! Mark 13:3-9a

As we study church history we see what Jesus was talking about, the false Messiahs did come and did deceive many, even close to the day that Jesus returned to heaven. Paul the apostle was constantly addressing falsehood.

The disciples tweeked that Jesus was alluding to the end of things when He talked about the destruction of the temple. The temple was destroyed within the first two centuries yet here we are in 2014 and the end, the final end, has not yet arrived.

The important thing to know is that all the known world needs to hear the gospel first. Matthew 24:14

In Matthew Jesu talks about the great tribulation that will happen before His return. There is much debate as to when this happens but I am sure we would know it as Jesu said: 'unless those days were limited, no one would survive. But those days will be limited because of the elect.' Matthew 24:22

As to what this tribulation refers to is a subject of much debate. Is it persecution or worldwide devastation or both?

Persecution has escalated in this day. We have a foe in Hamas and destruction is foremost on their minds. Islamic sects are arising in various countries and the hatred of freedom is patent. It reminds me of the lust of Mordor in Lord of the Rings.

However, we are the light and if we switch on we can make a difference. 

Today I went and had a massage, my muscles are tight, perhaps because I have been uptight. Ha! In no time I knew why I was there. God sets us up if we will open or ears and eyes. What a ride we can have in Him. Amen!
