Good Discipline

Discipline is harsh for the one who leaves the path; the one who hates correction will die. Proverbs 15:10

As a chrisitian I have the Holy Spirit who works to bring me to the path of life. When I refuse He is not harsh with me but my circumstances can trap me and have harsh plans for me.

We have an enemy who is constantly setting traps for us. We can choose a nice looking trap but once in it we are caught unless we humble ourselves and seek the Lord's assistance.

I see many caught in the trap of possessions, wanting an easy life. This is a trap of soul destroying numbness. I am not saying possessions are wrong but the life of pursuit of possessions as a god is wrong. This god has a cost and his payment will be required and when it is it will be a shock.

I would rather seeking the Kingdom of God and allowing Him to lead and direct my paths. Amen! His cost I know, die to self and live for His plans and purposes and then all these things will be added, but there are no traps. Amen!
