As time goes by I am becoming better at not retaining offence, praise God. When hurt I go to The Lord with my pain and lay before Him and wait to be healed instead of calling everyone I know and talking about it. Now, if I do talk about it I sense an uncleaness and be quiet and ask forgiveness.
Love covers a multitude of sin. Learning to want to love like that is the first step. Walking in love is the next step.
I am sure Abraham was a little hurt when he offered Lot the first choice of land and Lot took all the lush land. We don't see Abraham getting offended, he let it go and let God be God.
Jesus had good reason to be hurt by all those who turned away from Him. Yet he did not show it, but, hanging on the cross asked the Father to 'forgive them for they know not what they do.'
Gossip is nasty and assumes the gossip is so righteous. The only righteousness around is self made and stinks like rotting plants.
Today I turned out a bin of vegetable scraps, grass, leaves, cuttings and chicken manure that had been composting all winter, phew! It stank to high heaven, even though I have showered I still can smell it. My dogs loved the smell and I will have to be careful that I cover this compost well before they decide to roll in it. This is going to be fun as dogs love to dig.
Love, real love is better than the false stuff that feel justified in gossiping. Keep it right!
