Wisdom Calls Out

Doesn't wisdom call out? Doesn't understanding make her voice heard? at the heights overlooking the road, at the crossroads, she takes her stand. Beside the gates at the entry to the city, at the main entrance, she cries out: "People, I call out to you; my cry is to mankind. Learn to be shrewd, you who are inexperienced; develop common sense, you who are foolish. Listen, I speak of noble things, and what my lips say is right. For my mouth tells the truth, and wickedness is detestable to my lips. all the words of my mouth are righteous; none of them are deceptive or perverse, and right to those who discover knowledge. Proverbs 8:18

Wisdom is a person. All wisdom can be found in Christ not in a philosophy or teaching of man. Men can help but ultimate knowledge comes from God. James tells us: 'if anyone lacks wisdom let him ask God who gives to all generously and without criticising, and it will be given to him.' (James 1:5) I do not need to sit on a mountain in isolation and meditate, pay buckets full of money to some guy to teach me. I need to seek it in faith, believing that God will supply. It is not a feeling, so expecting to feel wise is foolish.

As a Christian I have the spirit of Christ. I have to step out in faith and trust but the wisdom found in Christ calls me to wisely do the research, be informed before making a decision. . Again,  it is not a feeling.

I am Christ's messenger on the earth, I am His hands and feet, His voice. I cannot be independent, setting myself apart. I must be 'in Him' and allow Him to be 'in me.' He is my wisdom, without Him I am a noisy gong, a clanging cymbal.

He is found in the noise, in the city, in the country. He is everywhere! Walk in Him and develop common sense. His wisdom will keep you! Amen!
