The Message Links All

Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that would come to you searched and carefully investigated. They inquired into what time or what circumstances the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating when He testified in advance to the messianic sufferings and the glories that would follow. It was revealed to them that they would not be serving themselves but you. These things have now been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Angels desire to look into these things. 1 Peter 1:10-12

The Old Testament if filled with a longing for a redeemer, for Christ. The New Testament is full of rejoicing about having found Christ but a longing to be with Him in glory.

Isn't it interesting that the saints of old were indured with the 'Spirit of Christ,' within? How can this be? The new birth came with Christ. I remember the time period when the Spirit was bringing me to a relationship with Christ. On the pivotal night when I met Christ a voice inside me said, "Go to Anne." Anne was a born again believer in my nursing group. The voice was within. Yet when I received Christ as a born again believe my spirit was set free and  became whole.

Like the saints of old I know I am not serving myself but others, you the reader, my family and those in my world. The Spirit of Christ within me constrains me, guides me, encourages me, illuminates me.

I have something he Angels long for, a relationship with Christ and access to the scriptures. I long to know the depths of these scriptures and all that is contained in them. Amen!
