Breaking Mind-sets

For though we live in the body, we do not wage war in an unspiritual way, since the weapons of our warfare are not worldly, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments and every high-minded thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to obey Christ. 2 Cor 10:3-5

Oh how glad I am that I have You Lord!
Oh how glad I have You as my point of reference!
I would be lost in a sea of angry impatience without you, thank You!

Paul is teaching us that mind-sets create strongholds and these strongholds are able to be broken. God's word and His Spirit confront strongholds of wrong thinking and demolish them. Praise God!

By taking thoughts captive to obey Christ we are set free. Amen!

Every time I sense I am inflexible I shed the skin (no I am not a snake). I will force a breaking of inflexible mind-sets. If I hear myself say: " I never do that," or "that's not me," I question it.

Creativity breaks boring unwilling mind- sets. As I am creative I discover all sorts of new ideas and freedoms I had not considered.

Be flexible in the Lord's hands! I was challenged today about moving too quick by someone who moves too slow. I think we could meet in the middle. I listened and learned.
