The Gentiles Hear

It is God who avenges me, and subdues the peoples under me;
He delivers me from my enemies. You also lift me up above those who rise against me; You have delivered me from the violent man. Therefore, I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the Gentiles, and sing praises to Your name. Psalm 18:47-49

Last night, at the first night if my work conference I came across one whom The Lord had delivered me from, and was grateful. I also came across a man who reads my Facebook posts daily. I happen to read Zig Ziglar posts, John Maxwell Posts, among other motivational posts. Both of these men are (one is dead- Ziglar's son Tom now posts his dad's saying and is expanding into his own). My friend is grateful for the daily posts. He is a soft man and I believe open to the gospel. God is at work. He is one of many non-churched who read my posts. I pray for these Gentiles at heart.

What is our God interested in? Who is his heart set on? Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
